The early awards were a great encouragement, and the prose work I did from 2010-15 led to four travel-writing awards in a single 2016 competition.
Renowned poet and creative writing professor Christopher Buckley gets credit for any disciplines I show in practice and perseverance; he arranged my invitation to the College of Creative Studies. With the help of Ellen Lesser and upstreet’s Vivian Dorsel, I was awarded a grant to the 2016 Post-graduate Writers Conference, Vermont College of Fine Arts.
